The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a public sector university in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, which was originally established as the Jamia Abbasia in 1925. Jamia Abbasia was upgraded as Jamia Islamia in 1963. The Jamia Islamia was converted into a Chartered University as “The Islamia University of Bahawalpur” in 1975, The University has five campuses and two sub-campuses.
