Eligibility criteria

At least 45% marks are required in the intermediate or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to stand eligible for admission.

Psychologists are trained professionals who study and understand Pas human cognition, emotions, motivations, and behaviors. They use their expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with mental health issues, as well as provide counseling, therapy, and guidance.

Here are some areas within the scope of psychology:

Clinical Psychology: Clinical psychologists focus on assessing, in diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders such) as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. They employ various therapeutic techniques to help individuals improve their mental well-being.

Counseling Psychology: Counseling psychologists work with individuals who may be facing challenges in their personal lives, relationships, or careers. They provide guidance, support, and strategies to help clients overcome difficulties, improve their overall functioning, and achieve personal growth.

Educational Psychology: Educational psychologists study how people learn and develop within educational settings. They may work with students, teachers, and administrators to enhance learning environments, address learning difficulties, and develop effective & teaching strategies.

Developmental Psychology: Developmental psychologists focus on the study of human development across the lifespan. They examine how people change and grow physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally from infancy to old age. They may work with individuals at different stages of life for promote healthy development and address developmental challenges.

Industrial and Organizational Psychology:

Industrial and organizational psychologists apply psychological principles fo the workplace. They may be involved in personnel selection, employee training and development, improving work environments, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and promoting employee well-being.

Forensic Psychology: Forensic psychologists work at the intersection of psychology and the legal system. They assess and evaluate individuals involved in legal matters, such as determining competency to stand trial, assessing the mental state of offenders, providing expert testimony, and offering freatment or counseling to individuals within the criminal justice system.

Research and Academia: Many psychologists engage in research to contribute to the understanding of human behavior and develop for evidence-based practices. They may work in universities, research institutions, or government agencies, conducting studies, publishing research papers, and teaching psychology courses.
